How much do you charge for your services?

The price for our services varies based on several factors such as your counselor’s education level, type of license, additional certifications and years of experience. The price shown below should be used as a general guide. Your counselor’s rate may vary.

  •  Doctoral Level Therapist: $120 – $165
  • Masters Level Therapist: $90 – $125
  • Associate Level Therapist: $70 – $95
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes. For those who cannot afford our standard rates we will adjust our rates to make our services more affordable on a case by case basis. This is usually based on total family income.
So, What’s with your name? What does Innovo mean?

Innovo is Latin and it is translated as:

  1. to make and innovation in,
  2. renew, restore,
  3. return to a thing.

We believe that God is an infinitely creative God that is always seeking to renew and restore us using His creativity. We are open to the innovations that God brings to the counseling process. We have seen His creative efforts renew and restore as our clients return to face those things in their past that are preventing us from being all that He wants us to be in the present.

Do you take insurance?
No, we do not bill your insurance. However we do accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards. Please come prepared to pay for your services at the time of your appointment.
Are our discussions private?
You can be confident that what you say in a counseling session is not disclosed to anyone.

Since all of our counselors are licensed Ministers/Pastors, everything that is discussed falls under the penitent/clergy tradition of confidentiality. We will only disclose general information if required by state law in cases of public safety, or if you are a threat to yourself, or if you disclose the abuse or the potential abuse or neglect of a child, a disabled person or an elderly person.

What is Christian counseling?
At Innovo Christian Counseling Center we recognize that life is a journey filled with imperfect people and toxic circumstances. As practicing Christians we believe that, by the grace of God, you can rise above the complex stresses in this world and thrive in spite of them. We believe that your past does not necessarily predict your future. You can be renewed and restored to a life revolutionized by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

However, we understand that sometimes life doesn’t work out the way we want. If you are struggling with life we will not judge you or your behaviors. Although our Christianity informs every area of our lives we will not beat you over the head with the bible. God doesn’t force himself on anyone so, we won’t not force Him on anyone either.

What can I expect for my first visit?
Upon scheduling your first session you will receive a packet of forms to fill out via email. You can complete all of the forms online, and electronically sign the documents. When you finish signing the documents, they will be sent directly to our electronic records management system, which is offsite in a HIPAA compliant cloud database.

Included in the packet is an Intake form that you need to complete in its entirety before your appointment. The day of your appointment you are given two short screening tests that will cost an additional $35 to process, which only covers my cost. We don’t make a money off of testing you. You will spend the majority of the time answering background questions and getting comfortable talking to with your counselor.

How long does therapy last?
A typical session lasts 50 minutes, sometimes longer if we see that we need some extra time to wrap up our discussion. As far as the overall duration of time that you will spend in counseling it varies greatly. It is largely determined by what you are seeking counseling for and how responsive you are to the therapy.

We weigh many other factors surrounding your state of mind and how you are engaging in your daily life through your relationships and whether or not we have sufficiently met your counseling goals before we will make a recommendation to end your therapy.

Do I have to lie on a couch?
That depends on what you mean by lying on a couch. If it means that you have to recline on a couch during a session the answer is, “It depends. If it makes you feel more comfortable then, by all means, lie down”.

In fact you can stand on your head in the corner if it makes you feel better, or you can lie in on the floor if you prefer a firmer surface. But if you are wondering if you have to lie on my couch, as in, tell me something that isn’t true then the answer is no. We don’t require that you to lie on a couch. The truth works much better.
